A fantasy disaster
Highly disappointed. I am a fan of historical fiction and had high expectations of this book, especially with so many high ratings. But I got bored from the very beginning with the ridiculous concept of "Datta" the protagonist of the story, having the gifted ability to speak and communicate with anim… (View complete review)

Awesome!!! Aroon has a must read! Looking for more books
Awestruck!! His style is no match to a debut author. With just his second book, what a transformation he’s brought. Mr. Raman, if you are reading this, you have a fan looking out for more books from you. I wonder to what extent has he gone to pull out facts deep in history. Must read and a must must read for all adventure lovers. Never miss for those who want a good book to read.

An Alluring Tale
Through his 'The Treasure of Kafur,' Aroon Raman took me on a hypnotic outing to the Mughal times where history blends with fantasy and a layer of mysticism. The novel is replete with surprising twists in the tale and surprising twists in language ---and both enthralled me in equal measure from start to finish. The geographic, cultural and historic details delighted me without causing the slightest impatience, for the pace of narration is unrelenting. All in all, a brilliant book from a master story-teller. I recommend it, absolutely.

Aroon has hit the sweet spot!
Nice book by an Indian author ‘Mr. Aroonraman’. The Treasure Kafur was the best historical fiction I’ve read and the characters are so well defined. The author tells the story through in a way keeps one focused and the story line is amazingly composed together. The book is very alive and happening all throughout out. I think Aroon Raman has hit the sweet spot.

One of the most enjoyable aspect’s about history is always being able to find new stories.
One of the most enjoyable aspect’s about history is always being able to find new stories. Attracting somebody with a great kingdom is a painstaking work to research and all the more difficult to attract someone to read. I enjoyed “The Treasure of Kafur” so much. Aroon Raman has provided us a reviling saga of action and adventure set in the Mughal India. An interesting and subjective approach to expand the history behind the establishment of Mughal Empire India. The author has successfully tried to fill in the gaps and made some real characters amalgamated into fictitious ones without disturb…

In search of Treasure
Author Aroon Raman reminds us of treasury of culture that existed before British India which went unacknowledged by the Mughal historians too.
Our secular, Nature worshiping society, and a secular society.

Awesome climax
I have always feared reading thick novels because I tend to forget the name of characters and plot if I dont finish it in one sitting. But for this book, I specially made notes while reading and seriously speaking, this is one of the books which should get acclamation. The way it has been written. The characters that the author has created. The way Mughal empire is discussed. How the fight between good and evil is projected is all about making a reader get into the world of 15th and 16th century when the story is based in. After reading the 400 pages, when I was reading climax, it gave me goos…

A great book in the new flourishing genre
After reading the works of Amish Tripathi, Ashwin Sanghi and other authors writing in a genre which takes us back to religion, philosophy and history, I started searching for books with the same essence and feel. Someone informed me about The Treasure of Kafur and I ordered it on Flipkart without thinking twice. After completing the book, I am myself feeling as if I was struggling to free Ambu from the clutches of the villain. I felt sentimentally close to Datta's character. A magnificent book indeed. I have also ordered author's first book after getting impressed with this one.
